Campground & Parks

The Centennial Park Campground is a welcoming area for RV and tent camping and has a small creek nestled nearby to help you relax at the end of the day and enjoy the abundant wildlife that inhabits the area.  The 16 pull through sites offer a firepit,  power (30amp), water and sewer connections, or lush green spaces (and firepits) for those wanting to tent.  There is a shower-house nearby which has accessible washrooms and showers with running water for your convenience.

Centennial Park also hosts the Killam Ball Diamonds - one of the best built, well drained ball parks in Flagstaff County!  All ages use the ball facilities, with 3 softball/minor ball diamonds, and 1 baseball diamond.  All diamonds are fenced with shale infields and grass outfields, and are all equipped with home/visitor dugouts and viewing stands. 

An exciting new addition to Killam's treasure of recreational opportunities, the 6 Basket Disc Golf Course was completed in June 2024.  Located adjacent to the Killam Centennial Park Campgrounds, 4616 -57 Street, the course runs the outer boundary of this green space. Score cards are available at the course introduction sign.  Starter discs are available for purchase at the Killam Town Office. *This is a family friendly activity, please be courteous to other users when on the course.

Heritage Park is a great place to spend the day with the family, there’s something for everyone. Have a picnic in the gazebo or go for a walk on our beautiful paved 2.5km nature trail - that not only runs through Heritage Park, but also goes through Centennial Park and around the outskirts of town. Heritage Park also offers a playground, bike and skateboard park and horseshoe pits. Nestled into the east end of the park, you can also find an Amphitheatre that can be used for evening concerts, church events or other community gatherings.

This well utilized paved trail extends 2.5km winding through Killam.  Perfect for lazy evening walks with your dog or family bike rides, the trail is easily accessible at various points in Town.  The trail also has benches, garbage receptacles and doggie bag dispensers placed along the path for user convenience.
