Thank you to all who support the Agriplex and helping us keep it a safe and clean facility for everyone.
Killam Agriplex
Killam has an abundance of recreational facilities and programs, which serve a wide population area. Many activities are centered in the Agriplex, a large multi-use facility located along Highway 13.
Killam's Agriplex has an indoor competitive-sized salt water swimming pool. The pool belongs to an inflatable toy exchange which adds to the pool's own equipment, and increases the pool's user enjoyment. The pool is busy on a year round basis. Besides public swimming, a large number of programs are offered at the pool: Red Cross lessons, adult lessons, parents & tots, competitive swimming, synchronized swimming, aquatic fitness, fitness swim, aqua-sizes, deep water workout, and senior stretches. Advanced programs offered include National Lifeguard Services, Water Safety Instructor, and Aquatic Emergency Care. School lessons are offered to 11 area schools. The pool is rented for birthday parties, youth groups, sports clubs, and company parties. A competitive summer swim club, the Killam Cyclones, operate out of the pool facility as well for ages 5 to adult. This club holds an annual swim meet, as well as having hosted regionals with over 300 competitors.
The Agriplex also has a 4-lane five pin bowling alley with automatic scorers, and featuring neon bowling. This facility is used by an afternoon ladies league, an evening mixed league, seniors bowling, school bowling, as well as casual use.
Bowling Alley is always open the same times as public swimming, but may vary with summer hours. We have the best alley in the county.
Public Skating & Shinny available September thru March.
Indoor Rodeo every June in conjunction with a town parade and street fair.

A major part of the Agriplex is the arena, used for hockey, figure skating, power skating, free public skating & shinny (corporate sponsorship), school physical education, & an annual indoor rodeo. This artificial-ice facility with new ice plant is well-maintained, featuring heated seating, and renovated dressing rooms. Hockey is a major sport in Killam's entertainment life. The minor hockey program has Initiation, Novice, Atom, and Pee Wee hockey, as well as two Rec Hockey clubs. The Killam Wheat Kings, a regional team, play in the North East Alberta Junior B League. The arena has also hosted Golden Bear Hockey Camps, Officiating Clinics, exhibition matches such as the CFCW Critters, and the Calgary Hitmen-Edmonton Ice, as well as age-group tournaments and provincials.
