Don't be the last one to know!
Sign up for the Town of Killam Notifications and Alerts, and be sure to know when there is an emergency that will affect you - or if you need to move a vehicle if your street is going to be cleaned!
The system will only be as successful as the correct information we can enter! Please take the time to complete a form or register!
It's that time of year again!
If you get your dog or cat license, it only costs $15 per pet prior to January 31! After that, the fee is $30 per pet. Licensing helps us find your pet's home - if it should make a great escape! And it happens quit often... we get a number of calls about pets every year that "never get out"... but somehow managed too! For your pets sake, make sure we have your information!
SNOW REMOVAL REMINDER:
Bylaw No. 773A - Traffic Control, Section 6.6 states that it is the responsibility of the Landowner to ensure snow and ice are cleared from all sidewalkds adjoining your property within 24 hours of a snowfall.
The Town of Killam Public Works does not remove snow from street and avenue sidewalks.
Fines for non-compliance range from $75 for a first offence to $300 for a third offence. Should these fines not be paid in a timely manner, another tag will be issued that may double the outstanding amount!
