Hydrant Flushing...

Public Works will be flushing the hydrants in Killam, once tempertures improve.

Residents may experience a drop in water pressure, or slight discolouration, during this process.  If you find that pressure does not resume shortly after the flush is completed in your area, please notify the Town Office at 780-385-3977 or Public Works at 780-385-3783.

Scarecrows Spotted!

Welcome to the Killam Scarecrow Festival - hosted by the  Killam Chamber of Commerce.

The invitation has been extended to once again take part in stationing those straw-headed friends throughout our community.  Businesses, Home Owners, Families and Organizations are encouraged to participate... the more the better!  Take advantage of this wonderful (and FUN!) opportunity to be a part of the fall fun community event.  The Festival will take place from September 20 - October 28, 2018.

Judging will be done Sunday, October 28, 2018.  Register your scarecrow with Jam Tarts at  780-385-2222.  Stay tuned!

The Alberta RCMP supports community engagement by providing the public with the tools, resources and information they need to uphold public safety - for themselves and for their communities.

A new, online map enables the Alberta RCMP to share current criminal incidents with members of the communities they serve across Alberta. With this interactive tool, the RCMP hope the map will encourage citizens to report suspicious activity to the police to help strengthen their intelligence gathering abilities, ultimately resulting in more arrests.

An evening of music and stories based on the many challenges of mental health!  This event is FREE Administion (recommended for audiences 12 years of age and older).  Performance begins at 7:00pm at the Killam Community Hall.

This event is being hosted by  F.I.R.S.T. , Inter-Pipeline and the AB Government. 


Volunteers Needed!!!

If you- or your organization - can spare 3 hours a morning, from 9am-Noon, the Flagstaff Food Bank can use your help!

Aide is needed on the fourth Tuesday of the month, as well as the second and fourth Thursday of the month.  Time will be spent packing food hampers prior to pick up.  If you can volunteer any of these days - please contact Tanny at 780-385-0810!
