Donations Being Accepted

The Killam Community Hall Board and Killam Chamber of Commerce are hosting the Killam Community Christmas on Saturday, December 10, 2016.  The groups are requesting Chamber and Board members to contribute to the evenings late lunch by donating food items or cash.  Currently, the following is required:  5 hams (not the rolled ones) for the Christmas Dinner, or appetizers, fruit or veggie platters, squares or cookies for the late lunch.

A series of Open Houses will be held throughout Flagstaff County to allow for input from local residents who will be impacted by the changes that will be coming in the near future.  Pleae take the time to visit and share how you envision the upcoming years!  Meeting information, as well as a information package, are attached below! Municipal Auditor Required!

The Town of Killam is currently searching for a new Municipal Auditor.  This position will be for a three year term, dating December 31, 2016, 2017 and 2018.  The Request For Proposal package is below.  A detailed outline of the services that are required, as well as information regarding the Town's operations, are included. 

Proposals will be accepted until Monday, October 31, 2016 at Noon.  Further information is available, please don't hesitate to contact the Killam Town Office at 780-385-3977 and ask for Kim Borgel, CAO or Darlene Gotobed, Asst. CAO.

The Aquatic Center will reopen after regualr annual maintenance on October 3,2016.
And we have many options to get swimming lessons in this fall and winter of 2016.

NEW Killam Health Centre Redevelopment Project

Covenant Health and the Minister of Health, Sarah Hoffman, recently announced some exciting changes for the Killam Health Centre!  A $13 million redevelopment project is planned for the facility, that will not only renovate the existing facility, but add an additional 24,000 square feet to the building.  Once completed, the facility will house 50 suites providing multi-level care options for residents of Flagstaff County!
