Killam Memorial Arena Public Notice

2017-08-10 11:28:43

August 10, 2017

During the planned Cool & Heat Header replacement project at the Killam Arena we have come across some items with the building that need our attention & repair prior to completing the project. To date we are awaiting drawings from our engineer in order to commence and resume construction. The drawings should arrive in the next 10 Business days (or sooner.) At that point we will have a better indication of an opening date. We are hopeful that there will be little to no interruption to our hockey season.
In the time being our August & Early September rentals have been working with our gracious neighbours in Viking to accommodate those rentals, as their ice is already available.
We are sorry for any inconvenience and we all look forward to the first skate here in Killam.

A second update will be provided as soon as more information is available.

Any questions in regards to this project or ice rentals please feel free to contact Charlene Sutter, Director of Community Services,, 780-385-3977
