Town of Killam Council has been busy over the last few months! After much planning, input and review, by Council and residents, the following documents have been approved.
2011 Municipal Sustainabiliy Plan - A plan that is intended to provide direction to the Town, in preparation for capital and operating budgets, with funding and resources that are available, to accomplish a sustainable future for Killam.
Municipal Development Plan - March 5, 2009 - The overall purpose of the Killam Municipal Development Plan (MDP) is to guide future growth and development to ensure that it is sustainable, orderly, appropriate, complementary, efficient, and that it enhances the quality of life for the citizens of Killam.
Bylaw 791 Land Use Bylaw - Amended with Bylaw 801 -The purpose of this updated Bylaw is to regulate the use and development of land and buildings in the Town of Killam. Provisions of this Bylaw apply to all lands and buildings within the boundaries of the Town. Any development commencing within the Town of Killam must be in compliance with this Bylaw.
