The Mayor and Town Council are dedicated to the concerns of the citizens of Killam. At the Town Council meetings, normally held on the first and third Thursdays of the month, issues regarding the community are addressed and resolved. Only one regular meeting per month will be held during the summer, these dates are July 22th, 2010 and August 19th, 2010 . Municipal Elections will be held on Monday, October 18, 2010. If interested in running forthe position of Council person or Mayor, please stop by the Town Office and pick up an Elections Package. The Organizational / Orientation meeting will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2010, with the next Regular Council meeting will be Thursday, Novemeber 4, 2010.

Mayor Bud James

Mayor James was born & raised in Killam, and attended school in Killam Public and Central High in Sedgewick. Following High School he entered the family business. He took time off from work to obtain his finance diploma from NAIT in Edmonton. He is currently a small business owner in Killam and Sedgewick.
Bud is married to Tammy and they have 3 children & 3 grand-children.
Bud was first elected to Council in October 2001, and has served as Mayor since November 2006.

Clr. Darcy Eskra

Clr. Eskra was born and raised on a farm north of Invermay Saskatchewan. After graduating High School in Invermay he attended the University of Saskatchewan for 2 years.
Darcy began work with Saskatchewan Wheat Pool/AgPro in 1986, and is currently still employed with Viterra.
Darcy, along with his wife and four children, moved to Killam in May of 2001. He was elected to Council October 2004 and it has been a very positive experience for him.

Clr. Les Fee

Clr. Fee is the fourth generation Fee to have lived in Killam and loves the community very much. Les owns and runs LARC Enterprises, an oilfield maintenance and construction company. Les hopes to one day serve the community and area by taking over the family funeral home business.
Les is married to Cheryl and they have two children, Chloe and Sawyer.
Municipal Government is a new experience for Les, but as a very ambitious and dedicated business owner, he plans to bring the same attributes to Town Council.

Clr. Allen Freadrich

Clr. Freadrich has spent nearly all his life in Flagstaff County, primarily in Killam and area. He attended High School in Sedgewick.
Allen has always been a strong Killam supporter and has volunteered for many activities and held several official positions in many organizations. His main concern is to see Killam develop and to help the community move forward to becoming an even more desirable place to raise a family and do business.
Allen is the father of two sons, both employed in the oil and natural gas industries. He has six grandchildren; three attend Killam Public School, one at Sedgewick Central High, one at Vermilion Lakeland College, and one is employed in the oilfield in the Vermilion area. Allen and Jeanette enjoy living in Killam and are glad to have an active part in community happenings.
Clr. Diane Gordon

Clr. Gordon was born in Killam and raised in a large family on a farm south of town. Following High School she moved to Calgary where she worked for a CA firm during the day and took CGA courses in the evenings. Shortly after marrying her husband, Jerry, they returned to Killam where they have since lived and raised their 3 children.
Through the years, Diane has kept the books for numerous small businesses in the area, charitable organizations, as well as their own automotive business in Killam
Diane served on Town Council from 2001-2004 and was once again elected to Council in October 2007. Diane currently runs a bookkeeping service out of their home and serves on several volunteer boards, in addition to her regular council committees.
One of Diane's greatest satisfactions is "a job well done" and strives to do just that in every task undertaken.
Clr. Rick Krys

Clr. Krys was born and raised on a farm southeast of Vermilion. He graduated High School in 1990 and went on to take one year of Engineering at Red Deer College. He returned to Vermilion to work at the Co-op for 3 years before transferring to Killam in 1993. Rick later began working for Grainline Implements and completed his Parts Technician Journeyman Certification in 2000, at which time he was promoted to Parts Manager.
Rick is married to Dr. Shanon Mochid and they have 2 beautiful children, Tyler and Abbygail.
Rick is Captain of the local Volunteer Fire Department, and has been actively involved with the Lions Club and Jr. B Wheat Kings Hockey organization for many years.
Clr. Krys cherishes this community and counts it as one of the best places to live.

Clr. Adolf joined council in October 2008. She was born and raised in Killam and attended Red Deer College where she completed the Social Work program in 2002. She returned to Killam to raise her family (four childern) with husband Travis, taking over a family operated business. Stacey is currently employed by Flagstaff Family and Community Services as a counsellor. She is a volunteer board member of the Ag Society, Family Day Home and local Playschool group. Stacey is committed to ensuring families are able to raise their children in a safe, vibrant community - like Killam!
