Killam Public School is part of the Battle River Regional Division #31, which operates a centrallized High School with a variety of programs, at Sedgewick. Killam students can access this with a short 5 minute bus ride leaving the public school each day at 8:30 am.
Living Truth Christian School, part of Koinonia Christian Schools, is an accredited evangelical, non-denominational school for ages Kindergarten through Grade 9. Killam has a parent operated Playschool Program, which operates two mornings and afternoons a week for ages 3-5 years. It works on such pre-school skills as shapes, colors, and numbers, as well as motor skills. Battle River Regional Division also operates an Early Intervention Program for students with developmental needs. This may start as early as 2.5 to 3 years of age.
Killam is home to the office for Flagstaff Community Adult Learning. This program offers courses in a variety of Flagstaff communities, including Killam. Courses vary across the spectrum from artistic or homemaking, to job skills. The courses offered are driven by adult interests and requests. Currently, we are offering GED with a tudor. The Battle River Training Foundation helps rural residents of the Flagstaff region, including east central Alberta, access college credit courses to further their education without having to leave their community.
