TOWN OF KILLAM VISION 2020 STATEMENT
By the year 2020 the Town of Killam will be a vibrant, expanding community with the following characteristics:
- We will have population growth in excess of 1500 with a balance of all age groups.
- Killam will be a clean, visually attractive centre.
- We will maintain our friendly small town atmosphere and nurture a caring, generous and responsible community.
- We will promote a healthy life style and positive utilization of leisure time through expanding parks, recreational and cultural programs and facilities to meet the needs of all age groups.
- Killam will have a stable, environmentally friendly industrial sector utilizing our resources responsibly.
- We will promote positive growth in the retail, service, tourist and professional sectors.
- Killam will continue to provide environmentally safe service infrastructure to meet the needs of our citizens.
