Elections for Town Council

If you are considering running for a council position within the Town of Killam, we will have our information and nomination packages ready to pick up at the Town Office on Tuesday, May 23, 2017.  Moving forward, the Towns council size has changed, now requiring only 4 councillors and the Mayor.

Municipal Affairs has a very informative booklet available that outlines the responsibilities and commitments required by a council member.  Please feel free to check out the attached link, or drop by the Killam Town Office, and we will provide a copy to you!

Consrtruction is Underway!

Construction is underway for the new residential subdivision!

Stage 1 will consist of 16 lots being developed in the south east area of Killam. This includes lots 1-9 and 21-27 on the map below.  Pricing will be dependent on the overall cost of the project, options will vary as there is a selection of lot sizes that will be available.

Lucky Route 13

An exciting new tourism promotion is being marketed for the 2017 Summer season.  "Lucky Route 13" is a photo scavenger hunt that will take place along Highway 13, from Wetaskiwin thru to Provost ... and all the many stops in between! For more details, please check out their website at:

Curbside Recycling Success!

Job Wll Done Killam Residents!


The May 4, 2017 Curbside Recycling information is in! 

For only the second run, the number of households that participated has tripled!

Recycling Divereted:             180 kgs            790 kgs

Reminder: Clamshells (the containers that you can get fruit, vegetables, rotisserie chicken, etc.) are not recyclable.  Please put these in your regular household garbage.  Also, glass jars (from pickles, jams, condiments, etc.) are not recyclable.  Clear glass can be taken to Centra Cam in Camrose, or can be included with the regular household garbage.

The next curbside recycling pickup is scheduled for Thursday, June 1, 2017

Public Swim Sundays!

The Killam Regional Aquatic Centre will now be open every Sunday, from 2:00pm - 4:00pm for Public Swimming!  Family fun for an afternoon of healthy fun and excersice!

Also, following Public Swim, Lane Swim will be scheduled from 4:00pm until 5:00pm.  Regular Fees apply!
