Killam's Agriplex has an indoor competitive-sized salt water swimming pool with a new zero depth entry teach pool. The pool is busy on a year round basis. Besides public swimming, a large number of programs are offered at the pool: Red Cross Swim Lessons, adult lessons, parents & tots, competitive swimming, aquatic fitness, fitness swim, lane swim,and deep water workout.
Advanced programs offered include Bronze Star,Cross,& Medallion,National Lifeguard Services,and Water Safety Instructor. School lessons are offered to surrounding area schools as part of their physical education courses. The pool is rented for birthday parties, youth groups, sports clubs, and company parties. Killam is proud to host a competitive summer swim club, the Killam Cyclones (for ages 5 to Adult). This club holds an annual swim meet, as well as having hosted regionals with over 300 competitors.
Is performed in waist to chest high water. When working out in water,you generate roughly 12 to 14 times the muscle resistance compared to land. Water aerobics will help improve or maintain your cardiovascular fitness, as well muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, and muscle to fat ratio. In a one hour class you can burn up to 400 calories. Classes are a combination of walking, running, knee lifts, jumping jacks, and modified forms of activities such as circuit training and kickboxing.
Classes run Tuesday & Thursday mornings 9-10am.
Swimming can develop a swimmers general strength, cardiovascular fitness and endurance. This time is yours to come swim lanes at your own speed.
Times offered are Early Bird on Monday, Wednesday,Friday mornings 6-7am starting October 1
Is a cardiovascular exercise performed in deep water. A flotation belt is uded to free hands and legs. Working out in deep water reduces body weight by 90%, helping reduce weight on knees, hips and ankles. Deep water aerobics can help with arthritis or joint injuries. Also helps improve flexibility and circulation. Water provides 12 to 14 times more resistance than air, helping you build muscle without using weights.
Note: you do not need to know how to swim in order to participate.

Fat Burner is a high paced water aerobic class. Incorporates Aquasizes, Deepwater and Boot Camp into one awesome water workout. This class is sure to burn up to 500 calories. Fit Bit says: 27 Flights of stairs and over 3,000 steps in one class.
Monday to Thursdays 5-6pm starting October 1
This time is free for you to come perform aquasizes,deep water aerobics,water jogging or lane swim at your own pace.
Fit Swim is offered Monday,Wednesday,and Friday mornings 9-10:00am starting October 1
Tuesday and Thursdays 7-8pm October 2
