EMS is provided by Alberta Health Services. Killam has one Amublance that services Killam and the surrounding area. The Ambulance Bay is currently located at the Killam General Hospital.
The Town of Killam is extremely fortunate to host one of the finest volunteer fire departments in the County! The Department is always interested in signing on new volunteer members. This may be your opportunity to provide your community with fire suppression, fire prevention, and emergency and rescue responses. No previous experience necessasry and training is provided.
If you are interested, attend a Fire Hall meeting on the First and Third Wednesday of each month. For more information on how you can help the fire department, please call Chief Joe Knievel at (780) 385-1014.
This was a training exercise held recently to help volunteers practice their firefighting skills!
The Alberta RCMP supports community engagement by providing the public with the tools, resources and information they need to uphold public safety - for themselves and for their communities. A new online map enables the Alberta RCMP to share current criminal incidents with members of the communities they serve across Alberta. The RCMP hope that the map will help encourage citizens to report suspicious activity to the police, strengthening their intelligence gathering capability and helping them make arrests. This interactive map is posted on the Flagstaff County webpage, clicking the map below will take you to it.
